A Bit About Therapy
Psychotherapy can help you feel more calm, joyful and connected to others, heal wounds and have a greater understanding of your inner self. You deserve to be heard and encouraged to express yourself, connect, grow and self actualize. Therapy can be difficult, painful work, however, the rewards are well worth it. You will quickly see that relief and clarity are within your reach. With guidance, you will make your own discoveries and decisions and maintain the control over your process, keeping it exciting, safe and appropriate for you.
A therapist should be an objective and nonjudgmental partner in helping you examine your issues and interpersonal processes. Within the oasis of this relationship, you heal, find solutions and gain a greater understanding of yourself. I utilize an eclectic approach, including psychodynamic, solution focused, relationship oriented, cognitive behavioral, narrative, body oriented and other types of therapies.
I see adolescents, adults, couples and families. Group therapy is offered for special topics. I very much look forward to welcoming you and moving forward on this special journey together.

I care about your well-being and provide the tools you need in order to grow, change, heal and move beyond even the most traumatic circumstances.
I was trained at the USC School of Social Work and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 1997. Over the years I've worked in most settings including inpatient, outpatient, home hospice, and residential. I currently work in private practice with people who want life to have a little more meaning as well as with people who need to heal from trauma and grief. I work with people of all ages who need to overcome depression, who are anxious and fearful, who are victims of domestic violence or crime, who are suffering with insomnia and life changes. I work with patients who have severe and persistent mental illness, as well as with grieving patients and their families.
Making small changes and finding a supportive, nonjudgemental place to express yourself can bring life-altering results. I will help you achieve just that. My services are personalized to suit everyone’s needs.

Services I Offer

Individual Therapy
Finding Your Center, Growth, Healing
Whether you desire to gain greater insight into yourself, wish to heal from trauma, anxiety or depression or simply need the support of an objective witness, individual therapy is a useful, comforting process. I will sit with you every step of the way, guiding you toward your goals, empowering, teaching and assisting you in your transformational process.

Couples Therapy
Connection, Intimacy, Conflict Resolution
Couples therapy helps create more intimacy and understanding between partners as well as decreasing conflict. A therapist provides couples with an impartial witness and mediator who can also teach communication skills, facilitate personal growth and champion unity. Additionally, a couples therapist is useful, and often crucial, in the dissolution of a relationship where a couple needs help with coparenting.

Family Therapy
Thriving Within A Family System
An individual does not exist within a vacuum. Often, when one member of a family is suffering, the entire system needs support. Family Therapy is an extremely effective and efficient way to improve the functioning of the members of the family unit as well as improve the unit as a whole. Family therapy sessions may be added as an adjunct to Individual therapy or may be the preferred method of treatment from the outset.

Group Therapy
Support, Empathy, Comraderie
Often one can find the greatest comfort in the company of those who have walked in their shoes. A group provides a high degree of empathy in a supportive and dynamic setting. Group Therapy is offered for empowerment, assertiveness, grief, communication and relationship issues.
